About NHS-Northstar
- Northern Habilitative Services, Inc. began providing services in 1989 to individuals in the In-Home-Family-Support program and currently manages 20 homes where one to four individuals live together. Northern Habilitative Services continues to provide services to children and adults in their family homes. Northern Habilitative Services, Inc. (NHS) was incorporated in October, 1988 in response to the growing need to serve persons with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities in Northeastern Minnesota, specifically St. Louis and Itasca counties.
